Keystone Solutions Group Works with Local Workforce on PPE Production

KALAMAZOO, MI – Keystone Solutions Group (Keystone) has passed part of their production of disposable face shields on to Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan (Goodwill).

The face shields, one of the many items of personal protective equipment in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, were designed and originally produced by Keystone. Goodwill will directly sell the face shields under the brand 420 EAST, while Keystone will continue to act as the distributor.

Face shields provide a barrier from others in close proximity and help minimize face touching and constant mask adjustment.

This partnership will increase the manufacturing capacity of the in-demand faces shields, while also providing an opportunity for the Goodwill workforce.

“We are grateful to have a partner to help us produce this highly in-demand product,” says Vaughn Gerber, Director of Central Engineering at Keystone. “Together, we can help supply healthcare and other workers with the equipment needed to keep them safe.”

The face shields produced by Goodwill can be purchased in cases of 50 at $3 per piece. Orders can be placed through Goodwill at https://goodwillswmi.org/face-shields/ or through Keystone by emailing info@keystone-pd.com.

This collaborative opportunity comes from more than a decade of partnership between the two organizations.
